The most important thing is the user experience. It inspires visitors of your site, your blog, buys your products, or reach out for more information on your services.
The fewer HTTP requests a website has to make, the faster your site will load.
If you use Google Chrome, you can use the browser’s Developer Tools to check exactly, how many HTTP requests your site makes.
For this open your site in chrome and Right-click on the page you want to analyze, and click “Inspect,” then click the “Network” tab. (If you don’t see the “Network” tab, you may need to expand the Developer Tools sidebar by dragging the left border to the left.)
The “Name” column shows all of the files on the page, the “Size” column shows the size of each file, and the “Time” column shows how long it takes to load each file.

You can reduce this number by “minifying” and combining your files. This reduces the size of each file, as well as the total number of files.
Since every unnecessary piece of code adds to the size of your page, it’s important that you eliminate extra spaces, line breaks, and indentation. This ensures that your pages are as lean as possible.
Combining files is exactly what it means, If your site runs multiple CSS and JavaScript files, you can combine them into one.
If your site is in WordPress then you can use the plugin W3 Total Cache.
Activate and install W3 total cache.
Go to -> General Setting option-> Under minify section enable the minify option.
Go to -> minify option-> JS minify settings: click enable and under CSS minify settings: click on enable which will automatically remove unnecessary data from CSS, JS, feed, page and post HTML.
If your site is in Plain HTML-PHP:
You can use the tool CSS Minifier. Visit the site, you will find the input CSS option in which you can paste your CSS file code and click on minify. On the right side, you will see the minified output of your file. Use the same procedure for JS and HTML files.
3. Use Gzip Compression
Gzip is a software application used for file compression which reduces the page size and ensures the faster loading of your website.
How to enable GZIP?
If you are using the WordPress site, Use the plugin Wp Fastest Cache. Install and activate the plugin. Enable the Gzip option in settings.
If your site is in Plain HTML-PHP:
Enable Gzip compression via .htaccess file. Add below code to your .htaccess file :-

4. CDN
A content delivery network or content distribution network (CDN) is a large distributed system of servers deployed in different locations to provide web content over a wide geographic area.

Without CDN : When a CDN is not used all content will be delivered by a single origin server no matter the geographical location of the request. With CDN: When a CDN is used all content will be delivered by the closest POP from the geographical location of the request. This means that even if an origin server is located in Switzerland users from Australia and Canada will receive content from different locations. The shortened physical distance between the requesting location and responding CDN edge server significantly decreases the overall loading time.
You can use the tool Cloudflare which will integrate your website and it will improve your loading time significantly.
5.Image Optimization
Image compression is the process of reducing the size of your images without losing its quality resolution. It plays and important in loading time of your site.
